Rolex Oysterdate Precision 6494

Hi, for sale is a rare vintage Rolex oysterdate with an off white dial and dagger hands. The 6494 is the third release of the oyster date series and had a relatively short production span of about 5 years as compared to its successor, the more commonly found 6694 which remained in production for another 30 years after the discontinuation of its predecessor.

This piece features a cool roulette date wheel which was first introduced by rolex in 1945. The roulette date wheel adds a slash of colour by alternating between red and black for odd and even dates. The Rolex Oysterdate Precision 6494 is a quiet classic, an unsung hero, and an affordable entry point into what often seems like the most exclusive club in watchmaking.
